Steve spent the first 23 years of his career in property & casualty insurance with a focus on construction, transportation, and distribution. His experience and passion in serving clients in these industries prepared him to change his career path over to construction. To continue to serve clients in the construction industry Steve formed SD-Cap Construction Management LLC. In his pursuit to serve the community, Steve sits on the board for Life Restoration Network Foundation whose purpose is to foster a thriving community by supporting and collaborating with community-driven initiatives.

As President, Heather Gorhan has led her team with a hands-on approach, working closely with every client-partner and team member ensuring personal and trusted service. She has overseen more than $430 million of multifamily reposition contracts and redevelopment throughout the US. Heather’s dedication to her clients and employees is proven effective for delivering successful construction management for every multifamily asset.

Craig Fritsinger brings over 40 years of expertise in construction, operations, and senior leadership to the team. He specializes in high-end residential and multi-family projects, encompassing new builds, renovations, repositioning, redevelopment, and value-added enhancements. Craig has hands-on experience managing multi-million-dollar, multi-phase projects from start to finish, working in diverse markets across the United States.

Victor brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with 30+ years working in construction. Victor brings a twist to the table with 8+ years’ experience in real estate. He has been a handy man and General Contractor with specialties in Concrete (ADA included), plumbing, customized interior renovations, full scope.

Kyle Teal is a Senior Construction Manager experienced in on and off-site Construction Management, Budgeting, Estimating, Contract writing and Due Diligence walks. He’s worked on everything from small remodels to large site wide renovations including LED façade upgrades to ground up projects.

Scott Aikman is the newest member of the SD-Cap team and joined the company in August 2022. Scott has construction experience in industrial, commercial, multifamily, residential planned communities, and concrete tilt-up warehouses. Prior to joining SD Cap, Scott was the Senior Construction Manager of New Acquisitions at Prime Residential.

Jim has been in the multifamily industry since 2011. He started out as a Project Manager for a national general contractor. Later he got experience with an in-house construction team with a well-known group to further his experience and knowledge. Now Jim enjoys working with the SD Cap team and has been a construction manager for over 4 years. He prides himself in his dedication to our clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Doug started his construction career as an on-site Maintenance Supervisor over 12 years ago in student housing. He has worked as a project manager for owners and general contractors all in the south-central regions. Doug has experience with multiple areas of the industry and started his construction management career with SD-Cap in March of 2022.

Nolan is a Construction Manager with 12 years’ experience in the construction industry with special attention to window and door construction. Nolan is a former Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps and enjoys being a strong leader to the onsite construction teams focusing on communication.

Amy Sorge has been a Project Accountant overseeing a variety of full scope interior and exterior multifamily renovation projects throughout the United States for 10+ years, from both the General Contractor and Construction Management perspectives. She enjoys building relationships with everyone involved throughout the life cycle of a project and working as a team to ensure a successful transparent project.

Thomas Garcia is the newest addition to the SD-Cap team, serving as a Jr. Project Accountant. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and an MBA from New Mexico State University, Thomas brings fresh perspectives and a strong foundation in financial principles to his role. With a meticulous approach and dedication to accuracy, he plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of projects at SD-Cap.
